Accommodation and catering
The INSA Lyon campus can accommodate all students in one of the school’s 11 halls of residence. The accommodation ranges from studio flats to two-bedroomed apartments which are furnished with a bed, a desk, a bathroom and a small kitchen. Accommodation is guaranteed for the first year at INSA and for all international students who apply for it.
The 6 INSA Lyon on-campus restaurants provide meals for students and school staff, from breakfast to dinner, seven days a week. There are different options for students according to their diet, regardless of whether or not they live on campus.
Prevention and Health
INSA’s Health Centre combining preventive and curative medicine. Its team consists of 3 doctors, 4 nurses, a secretary and a nurse coordinator. The centre helps students with mental and physical health issues, provides advice and signposting, and responds to emergencies.
- The psychologists of the CAP (Counselling And Personal Support) service can advise and support you throughout your studies to help you succeed on your course.
- The Welfare Unit assists students who encounter permanent difficulties (financial, material, administrative, personal, etc.).
- The disability unit welcomes and supports students with disabilities, and coordinates all the arrangements in collaboration with the various INSA services.
- Listening unit against discrimination, harassment, sexual and gender-based violence
Sexism and discriminatory behaviour have no place at INSA.
This unit provides a welcoming space and listens in confidence to people who feel they are victims or witnesses of discrimination, harassment, sexual or gender- based violence.
Association life
There is strong involvement in clubs and associations at INSA Lyon. In fact, there are 130 associations in all, giving everyone a chance to put their talents to good use while contributing to campus life.
The Student Union of INSA Lyon (BdE) is the largest organization of its kind in France and every year it organizes some flagship events including the largest student festival in Europe, induction activities, a sports challenge, a gala, … and much more! In fact, many of these events have an international scope.
In the student house, 1000 m2 entirely reserved for students, the BdE offers a wide range of services: a self-service laundry facilities in several residences, a student grocery store (the COOP), photocopiers, equipement on loan or to rent.
The Marie Curie library
At the core of the campus, our library offers a wide choice of printed and online documents, as well as study areas and innovative services that will help you succeed in your studies.
Press, encyclopaedias, novels, comics and more! A student ID card allows you to borrow up to 9 books (6 magazines and 3 multimedia) for 15 days.
The library also organises science and cultural activities, documentary research and information analysis lessons.
