INS’AVENIR

Newly opened at the start of the 2023 academic year, the INS’AVENIR program welcomes students from the STI2D and STL technological baccalaureates and students from the general baccalaureate who have followed a single scientific specialty in Terminale: Mathematics or SI / NSI / PC + the complementary Maths option.

This course takes place over 2 years, then students join the 2nd year of the FIMI department, before heading to one of the 9 specialty departments of INSA Lyon (preparatory year + 5-year engineering course = 6 years) .

In this section, the development of an innovative pedagogy leads the student to acquire, in 2 years, skills based on varied and complementary educational approaches. Through problem solving and project-based learning in particular, many skills are developed: curiosity, autonomy but also reasoning skills, critical thinking and a level of abstraction necessary to ensure the continuation of the course in 2nd year of FIMI department then in specialty department. Educational situations are developed in such a way that the diversity of profiles of the baccalaureate graduates received constitutes an asset and a wealth aimed at promoting collective intelligence.

This pedagogical approach favors interdisciplinary workshops and projects, independent work and a strong focus on the major societal challenges of digital and ecological transitions. The INS’AVENIR pedagogical model places students in the role of actors in their own training.
